Geneseo, Henry County: the Geneseo house owned by I.S.Hutchins (who had earlier purchased it from Abram Miller) burned May 1st. Hutchins previously was the landlord of the Island City Hotel in Rock Island. Ira and C.B. Miller worked to save the structure, but did not succeed. Miss Ada Miller’s piano was burned. Burd. Miller rescued James Day from the flames.
