Virginia Revolutionary Publick Claims was originally published as a series of booklets, one for each county. These booklets have been combined into a three-volume series with an index covering all counties at the back of volume three.
These records were compiled and transcribed by Janice L Abercrombie and Richard Slatten. They contain a variety of records such as militia lists, pension papers as well as auditor accounts, lists of insolvent and delinquent taxpayers, Poor House records and much more for Virginia counties that existed during the revolutionary time period.
If you are looking for Revolutionary War military service or patriot service for Sons or Daughters of the American Revolution applications, this is a wonderful resource.
You can find these books at the Rock Island County Historical Society in the Rock Island County Illinois Genealogical Society collection. Call letters are RICIGS 975.5 Pub.
