From The Rock Island Daily Argus, April 16, 1879
W.B. Hodgson who has been employed at Buford’s Plow Works for nearly 10 years, leaves today for Kansas with his family. He may settle at Ellsworth, 100 miles this side of Trego County. He plans to establish a blacksmith shop. (Union of April 16) he came to this county 11 years ago and first settled at Moline. He moved to Rock Island in 1870. His wife and three children, 2 boys and1 girl have gone to Dixon, Illinois to visit Mrs. Hodgson’s parents.
