Wm. S. Hibbard of Chicago has donated a litany desk to Christ Church in Moline in memory of his niece, Helen E. Reed. The inscription reads: “…in memory of Helen E. Reed, 1st deaconess of California, born at Moline, 1859; died at Pacific Grove (California) 1891.” Helen E. Reed was the niece of Miss Sarah Reed and Mrs. Drury.
