Mr. and Mrs. E.H. Smythe have returned from visiting Mr. and Mrs. Myron B. Clark at Gilroy, Santa Clara Co., California. Mr. Clark was formerly a businessman and alderman here. He is now in the lumber business. Dr. H.C. Morey, a brother of Mrs. Clark, is also a resident of Gilroy where he is a druggist. Mr. and Mrs. Smythe also visited Dr. J.R. Hadsell, formerly of this place, but now of Monterrey, California. In San Francisco, they visited Capt. and Mrs. Goode, formerly of Moline; and R.N. Tate formerly of Rock Island.
