Princeton: GAR meeting items – James B. Armstrong was born in 1831 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and died 10 May 1862. He came to Princeton in 1855 and married Ann E. Shaw on 25 November 1860. He served in the Civil War with Company C., 2nd Iowa Cavalry and died at the battle of Farmington. He left his wife and an infant daughter, now Miss Nora Armstrong.
