This atlas is a reference guide to early pioneer trails from 1750 to 1800. The pioneer migration routes of the period are dicussed and illustrated with emphasis on Old Virginia and her territories. The pioneer is shown moving slowly southwest and then westward into Kentucky and onto the Ohio River.
