650 pp. Illus., portraits, four indexes. 1998 (1928). Aquila and Thomas Chase, brothers from England who settled in Hampton, New Hampshire in the late 1630s, and their descendants for seven generations are given in great detail using the standard Register format. The early settlement of Hampton is also discussed at some length, as are the brothers' wives' families. Additionally, the Chase family of Chesham, co. Bucks, England is described in quite some detail for the century and a half between 1520 and 1650. This is a quality genealogy which has stood the test of time well: well researched, well written and well documented.
