RICIGS recently received a submission of a family history “The First Simmon” to share on our website Family Histories Collection page.
The history is based on the Peter and Catherine Simmon family who immigrated from Germany in 1833 and eventually settled in Rural Township in Rock Island County. If you would like to read the history, go to: The First Simmon
Also, the author has created a Facebook group: “Descendants of Henry Peter and Eva Catherine Simmon”. If you are descendant and would like to join, they welcome new members!
RICIGS welcomes short or long submissions of family histories to our Family Histories Collection.
